June 7, 1: I was wanting to connect it to my TV, but there is no coax cable attached to it, only a very thin wire about an eighth of an inch in diameter. I pulled some of the sheathing off and there are 4 wires: Red, Yellow, Green, Black. I’m sure this wire was run into the house at some time years ago, because it is hanging right next to the hole where cable enters my house. I have no idea how those 4 wires were used to connect to a TV years ago.
Do I Need a Separate Antenna For Each TV?
There is complete HDTV support for shows that provide higher resolution programming , for picking up shows broadcast in p, i and p. This antenna comes with a convenient wireless remote control, which is an option not found on less expensive antennas. This should be sufficient range for most people, even those residing in the boondocks. Its pre-assembled design includes elements that just snap in place to lock onto the antenna and the UHF reflector to give you a stronger signal for ultra high frequency programming broadcasts easily unfolds and also locks down during installation.
A variation on this is to connect all four antennas in parallel and use a 1-to-1 balun. The Two-Antenna Trick (outdoor version) Using two antennas gives you some beam shaping options.
The coupling from the antenna to the radio is through the ferrite loop antenna inside most portable AM radios. We have received several inquries about the possibility of conneting the antenna to a regular component receiver. Although every situation is different, it is generally easy to do. The AM Loop Antenna can be connected to most receivers by forming a single turn loop, about 6 inches diameter, using a piece of solid copper wire.
The 2 ends of the loop should be soldered to the bare ends of a flexible coaxial cable. The other ends of the cable should be stripped back and connected to the receiver, as shown. In the photos we show the loop being held at the center of the wooden cross arms using push pins. A more permanent installation can be made by drilling holes and routing the loop before soldering. This arrangement will allow the receiver to tune the signal from the Loop Antenna.
For tuning, first dial-in on the radio to the frequency of the station you wish to receive. Then, aim the Loop Antenna in the direction of the radio station. Then tune the dial on the antenna until you hear a signal enhancement. Finally, fine tune the receiver to peak the signal. Although this might sound complicated, it actually is easy to do.

More Info Last November, Mohu sent me a few of their antennas to test and share my thoughts. To see stations available in your area, you can use the Mohu Station finder online. Not only will it provide a list of channels available, but the tool will give you an idea of the expected performance of their various antennas.
To see how well the Mohu Sky performs, we need to compare it to a baseline.

I did a lot more reading late last night. I mean, what else is there to do after a foot of snow is dumped on your neighborhood? I figure I’ll share that here, especially since it is generic and can apply to any broadcast area. The true problem in my situation is likely multipath cancellations. I am at a height disadvantage with the primary antenna, preventing me from getting a handful of lesser locals, but I’ll be able to take care of that once the weather gets above freezing.
It still pulls in most locals we’re interested in, however. First, what you describe turns out to be available in a former product made by Channel Master: What it does is offer a notch filter for the primary antenna all channels, minus one , and a very narrow bandpass filter for the secondary antenna no channels, except for one. While that is for the most part acceptable, I do lose the ability to get a crummy local station off of the backside of the secondary antenna which is almost in the opposite direction of the Canadian station.

What is your opinion on built in amplifiers versus stand alone? I have not tried these but they have pretty good reviews. I am buying today: Hubby says we have an HD antenna. I located an old TWC connection which is already cut. When I had new TWC, it was necessary to get a new cable from the outdoor cable box. Evidently, the installer cut the old cable when he installed the new one.
Can I leave it just hang there?

What I did was hook an antenna yagi to the router to shoot the signal to my in laws house. I also got an old linksys router and installed ddwrt and turned it into a wireless bridge to boost signal. It needs to be line of site free of trees and stuff to get a good signal that far. I was shooting the signal like feet 91m. Anonymous Feb 23, , 7: It might have that range but the wireless router does not with the stock antennas.
The signal from the router does not go out infinitely it drops off pretty quick and it has to go through walls.
